This page outlines iPEC’s ongoing response to the global public health emergency known as the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). Due to the evolving nature of the situation, we are monitoring updates regularly, and the information below is subject to change. Please check back often to view the latest updates!

Updated as of Tuesday, April 7, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 situation, we will now be announcing updates regarding the status of future in-person module training locations on a monthly basis. The announcements will be posted on this landing page, in the Hub, and in the Coach Community group on Facebook by the 1st of each month (or the next business day should the 1st fall on a weekend).

Our next announcement for changes to in-person module training locations will be posted on Friday, May 1st.

Training updates, moving in-person modules to virtual classrooms, and other changes necessary will be based on the latest guidance from the state, federal, and international departments of public health and related agencies, as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).

For in-person training classes that are moved to virtual classrooms due to the pandemic, please note the following:

—If an in-person location is moved to a virtual classroom, every student will automatically be assigned to a virtual classroom so that we may save your seat in the class.

—Once you are assigned to a virtual classroom and your seat is saved, you will then have the choice to:

  • Attend the module virtually as assigned
  • Request an alternate virtual classroom training date/time zone
Please note: Each virtual classroom has an attendee limit, so if you request a different virtual training date/time zone you will be immediately added to that class if there is room and if there is not you will be added to the waitlist to be processed if seats become available.
  • Defer to a future in-person class
    - Please note: If you decide to defer to a future in-person classroom, you will acknowledge that you are releasing your seat from your newly assigned classroom so another student may have it.

    - Additionally, the future classroom schedule for in-person attendance is not guaranteed per the ongoing global crisis, and will be processed once seats are available.

FAQs and Training Location Statuses

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When will I know when the next in-person mod will be available?
We will be making announcements on the first of each month on this landing page. Should you choose to wait to attend an in-person classroom, and see it announced on the top of this page, navigate to the Coach Training Program > Training Locations page
in the Hub and fill out the Module Update Request form to request your desired location and date. You can also find a link to a list of updated class locations and dates towards the bottom of this page.

Q. Will my other “mod mates” be moved to the same virtual classroom with me?
You might be placed in a class outside of your local time zone and/or combined with another iPEC cohort. If you are in a combined class, this gives you the unique opportunity to experience an expanded iPEC network where you will meet and interact closely with another classroom of like-minded iPEC coaches.

Q. The tuition I paid was for three in-person modules, do I get a refund?
In reality, it actually costs more to put on a virtual training than it does to hold an in-person training! The great thing is that iPEC has chosen not to pass along these added expenses to you.

Q. My in-person mod is canceled and I’ve been assigned to a virtual class. By when do I need to make my final decision about attending the virtual class or switching/deferring?
For current sessions, you have up until April 17th to
submit a change request. That way we can ensure that your training materials will make it to you on time for your virtual experience.

Q. Is there anything I can do while I wait for the next monthly announcement about in-person modules?
Students can check to ensure your shipping address and phone number are correct in the Hub under your profile information.

Q. Where can I learn more about the virtual classroom experience?
First, be sure to
check out the Virtual Classroom announcement here with Joan Ryan, CEO of iPEC. Then, feel free to join us for an “Ask the Lead Trainers” About the Virtual Classroom webinar on Thursday, April 16th at 1:00 PM ET.

Virtual Training Option

If you are a student and have unique circumstances, especially pertaining to the current COVID-19 situation, and cannot attend your in-person module training, you now have the option to choose a virtual location! Plus, just like our other training locations, you can choose any combination of virtual and/or in-person for all three of your modules.

Learn more about the virtual training option by watching this short announcement webinar with Joan Ryan, CEO of iPEC Coaching, and Jenny Wiley, Director of Community for iPEC.

You can learn more details about the requirements needed to help set you up for success with the virtual version of the program, including all the virtual module dates and times, technology and environmental requirements, your guest information, and more. Click here to learn more.

If you are ready to move forward with choosing a virtual training location (even if your mod is coming up this weekend), please use the Module Update Request form found under the “Adjusting Location and Dates Within Your Class” section on the Training Locations page in the Hub. The Student Support team is standing by to process your requests and is also available for any other program support you need.

Feeling unsure about which option you need to choose? Remember, your Admissions Coach is always available to provide you with coaching and a space for you to uncover what will work best for YOU! However, if your class is not starting right away, we ask you to please wait until next week to reach out to the Admissions Team so we may first help your classmates attending mods this weekend with their pressing deadlines.

During this fast-changing and uncertain time, we are seeing the iPEC Coach Community rise up and approach this unknown with compassion, understanding, and curiosity. Our hearts go out to all those who have been impacted in any way by this pandemic, and we will continue to respond and navigate the situation together as gracefully and swiftly as we are able.

We are committed to delivering our coach training program as scheduled in accordance with our standard terms and procedures. We will comply with all international, national, state, and local guidelines. We will also provide the same power of choice and flexibility for current students to adjust their training schedule and/or locations as it works best for them.

Our Commitment

The safety and well-being of our iPEC Coach Community, students, and family, all around the world, is of our utmost concern. We are closely monitoring the status of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and will continue to share updates regarding what we learn from our host hotels and training facilities as well as state, federal, and international agencies.

Across the globe, we have steady training facility partners and relationships with which we’re in close contact. We have been in communication with all of these partners and can provide the following information regarding their updated public health policies at their properties:

  • Each is committed to complying with all recommended health standards. We and they have been closely monitoring the situation and upgrading the corresponding health and epidemic prevention measures.
  • Each is working closely with local authorities for the safety and well-being of all of our facility guests and employees.
  • Each property and its staff have been prepared on any updated policies, procedures, and preventive measures to minimize the risk, as well as the actions to take in the event of any occurrence at the facilities.
  • iPEC will continue to follow updates and guidance from the state, federal and international departments of public health and agencies, as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).

We are also working closely with our logistics team, hotel staff, partners, and health professionals to assess the situation and will promptly communicate pertinent information and any decisions to you.
